Newcastle Eagles (WSLB) signed 30-year old Swiss international guard Shannon Hatch (180cm-1993, college: Calgary) for upcoming 2024-25 season. Hatch played last season at Nyon Basket Feminin in Swiss SBL league. In 17 games she had 8.6ppg, 4.4rpg and 1.5spg. She helped them to make it to the Swiss SBL final after they ended regular season as second best team. Hatch also played for Rhodigium Basket Rovigo in Italian Serie A2 where in 12 games she recorded 9.3ppg and 4.3rpg.
She has been a member of Swiss international program for some years. Hatch has been regularly called to Swiss senior team since 2018 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2012.
She has played also professionally in Canada, Germany (Braunschweig) and United Kingdom (Archers).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-English WBBL Honorable Mention in 2022.
Hatch graduated from University of Calgary in 2018 and it will be her seventh season as a professional player. She played also for St. Francis Xavier University for 3 years.
